Cream of Tomato Soup

While this recipe might not be the fanciest on the site it is both tasty and helpful. I make a lot of dishes that require cream of tomato soup. Buying cans of gluten free cream of tomato soup can get a bit expensive. So, without further ado, here is the recipe!

Gluten Free Cream of Tomato Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 28 oz can of tomatoes
  • 1 green onion
  • 1/2 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp corn starch

Preparation

  1. Put tomatoes into blender.
  2. Puree tomatoes.
  3. Pour pureed tomatoes into pot.
  4. Dice green onion and parsley.
  5. Add green onion, parsley and garlic powder to pureed tomatoes.
  6. Cook on medium low heat for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add baking soda to mixture.
  8. While stirring mixture, slowly add milk.
  9. Mix corn starch to an ounce of hot water and stir until dissolved.
  10. Add corn starch and water to soup and stir.
  11. Cook on medium low heat for another 5 minutes.


Serve.
